Lenovo – the largest PC manufacturer in China which has also been manufacturing some amazing smartphones just launched their new device – Lenovo Z5. Though their pre-launch marketing strategy was pretty bad compared to that of other brands, it has managed to launch something which can be regarded as ‘value for money’ smartphone. Without any further delay, let’s talk about the new talk of the town by Lenovo – the Lenovo Z5.
To start with; Lenovo Z5 Display
The phone flaunts a 6.2” inch full HD IPS display with the new 18.7:9 screen-to-body ration design. Plus, the phone is built with the top-notch display technology.
Moving on to Z5’s camera, the phone, like almost all the smartphones launched in 2018, has a dual camera setup of 16+8 MP on the rear end and an 8MP camera for selfies on the front end. The dual cameras are vertically stacked, and as per the stats on paper, you can expect good results from the Z5’s dual camera feature.
To add further to it, Z5 is capable of recording videos up to 4K videos; something which was introduced as an exclusive feature in Mi A2. In addition, respecting the synergy of smartphones and AI; Lenovo Z5 camera also accompanies AI features.
Sadly, the front camera might be a little disappointing for selfie lovers. As shared above, the phone has an 8MP front camera at a time when almost every other brand is offering a better selfie performer and higher megapixels in the similar price bracket.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 636 which is the same processor used in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and most probably will be seen in Nokia 6.1 Plus. The phone will be accompanying 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM along with two variants of internal storage – 64GB/128GB; which might serve as the USP of the phone. Also, the Lenovo Z5 runs on Android 8.1.
USP: Fast Charging in Lenovo Z5
Under the hood, the phone comes with a type C port and quick charging facility which was earlier available only in Xiaomi’s Mi A2 in this price bracket. This may be to add value or to compensate for the fact that the phone has only a 3300mAh battery.
USP: The Impressive Audio Facility
The phone is an impressive product as far as the audio performance is concerned. You get a Dolby Support and is sure to woo the headphone music lovers.
Lenovo Z5 is mounted with a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Technopedia’s Verdict: the USP of Lenovo Z5.
If you are buying Lenovo Z5; the same should be due to three reason: (1) availability of Type C charging port which is not available in the similar price bracket phones. (2) The Phone’s audio output will be splendid, and (3) the way the phone is balancing out the processor and the optimisation using SnapDragon 636 is beyond belief.
Concluding note: The phone will be available with different colour options. Do check out the blue colour version which makes it look like a premium phone.
